Vintage From Paul is pleased to offer these Bennington Potters Vermont Agate White Cup & Saucer Sets.
Bennington Potters was founded by David Gil in 1948. These particular plates are part of a series designed between 1961 and 1964 by Japanese designer Yusuke Aida while working for Gil.
Extraordinarily beautiful, Bennington white on white dinnerware is exquisite & unique, and is not found anywhere else in the world. Difficult & expensive to make, this agated design is accomplished by the careful application of 2 distinct glazes: 1 shiny & 1 matte for a subtle marbling low contrast effect. Try adding some White on White to your existing Bennington or even non-Bennington set for a truly custom designer look.
Each of the available Bennington Potters Vermont Agate White Cup & Saucer Sets is in pristine condition with no defects noted.
The Agate White saucers measure 6-3/8 inches in diameter. The under side is incised with; "Bennington Potters, Bennington Vermont, *1627 ya".
