Vintage From Paul is pleased to offer this Imperial Glass 12 Days of Christmas Carnival Glass 11th Day Plate of Eleven Ladies Dancing. The Imperial Glass 11th Day of Christmas Carnival Glass Plate is in its' original box and also has the original Imperial Glass insert. Eleven Ladies Dancing was issued in 1980.
Beginning in 1970 and through 1981, Imperial Glass of Bellaire, Ohio produced annually a Christmas plate adhering to the Twelve Days of Christmas theme. Each plate is trade marked with the capital letter I superimposed over the letter G. Take note, however, plates produced in the latter part of the series possess the Lenox decal. Lenox bought out Imperial Glass. Written promotional material supplied by Imperial Glass with each plate states that a Mr. Robert P. Robinson is to be credited with artistic interpretations displayed on each plate.
The plates of this series are one of the last truly artistic carnival glass products to leave the Imperial Glass factory. To complete the plate series, a collector had to patiently wait twelve years to do so. A bit of a challenge in that these plates were not sold consistently at retail outlet stores, the prices changed each year (no pre-orders) and there was no website to place your order on.
Intriguing and motivating is the base color of the plates and mold work. The base colors of all twelve plates are uniquely different and deviate from several of the traditional carnival glass colors.
The Imperial Glass 11th Day of Christmas Carnival Glass Plate measures 8-3/4 inches in diametert.
The Imperial Glass 11th Day of Christmas Carnival Glass Plate is in pristine condition with no defects or flaws noted...even the box is superb!
