Anchor Hocking manufactured the Mayfair pattern from 1931 to 1936. This Mayfair Pink Cookie Jar has a distinct 1-3/4 inch mold circle rim on the underside,providing proof that this piece is not a reproduction. Other distinguishing features of this authentic piece of Pink Mayfair include a clear and distinct pattern on the base of the jar, slight raised ovals near the base, a lid which has the pattern ending in straight lines.
The Mayfair pattern is a very popular pattern of depression glass and you can find many pieces is pink, crystal, yellow, blue, and green if you would like to mix and match your set. This has very pretty panels featuring the open roses on each side, divided by ribbed panels.
