The Currier and Ives pattern is one of the most famous patterns produced by The Royal China Company. The Royal China Company operated from 1934 to 1986 out of Sebring, Ohio producing over 1,000 dinnerware patterns.
The Currier and Ives pattern consists of different scenes based on Currier and Ives prints for the different dinnerware pieces. Royal produced this pattern from around 1950 through 1970. The Royal China Company was sold to Jeannette Glass around 1970 and this pattern was discontinued.

An authentic reproduction of an original print from the Currier and Ives Collection. Nathaniel Currier began his print publishing business in 1834 and was joined by James Ives in 1852. The original lithographs were pulled from stone in black and white and then hand colored to communicate realism. The chores of the farmer was a popular subject of these early prints and constitute a record of life that is now past.
