This plate however dates to the year 1978. During this year the plate was reissued with the adition of a Colonial Lady in the center, flanked by the years 1886 and 1978.

The name Miss America brings the word beauty to mind, which is definitely apropos when referring to this beloved 1930s Depression glass pattern.The pattern is also known as the Diamond Pattern, Line 2500 by Hocking Glass Company,and was manufactured in red, pink and crystal.
