Vintage From Paul is delighted to offer this very lovely, Cash Family Hand Painted Daisies Renfro Valley Pitcher.

Ray and Pauline Cash started the pottery in 1945 in the town of Erwin, Tennessee, which is steeped in the tradition of hand painted whiteware pottery. Southern Potteries and Blue Ridge Potteries were also located in this area as well as a number of other small potteries.

The Cash Family had all sorts of molds acquired from other potteries which had closed and unfinished bisque ware from other sources. They had their own molds with distinctive shapes. Most importantly, they purchased the molds of the Southern Potteries Incorported Company when they went out of business in 1957; Cash Family products bear a strong resemblance to those of the Southern Potteries.

This Cash Family Hand Painted Daisies Renfro Valley Pitcher has a milky white bulbous ceramic body, fluted near the base and scalloped at the upper rim The handle has a rippled body which accents the scalloped rim.

The focal point is the lovely hand painted rendering of the cheery daisies or Black Eyed Susan . The foliage is a deep brown. The base, handle and top rim are in a deep golden yellow..

The Cash Family Hand Painted Daisies Renfro Valley Pitcher stands 5 inches in height, measures 5 inches from handle to spout. The base diameter measures 4 inches.

The base is marked in black lettering "Made By The Cash Family Handpainted".
