Vintage From Paul is delighted to offer this very lovely Double Tier Server from the Continental Kilns in a variation of the Glen Arbor pattern.

In the Glen Arbor mold, this server has the flowers hand painted in a deep golden yellow, with the stems in gray.

Continental Kilns was established in Chester, WV -- in "Pottery Capitol" of the upper Ohio River Valley, where a number of major dinnerware operations flourished, including Hall China and Homer Laughlin -- in the mid-1940s and went out of business around 1957. They made dinnerware in a similar style to Franciscan's Desert Rose - embossed, hand-painted floral or leaf designs.

The Continental Kilns Glen Arbor Variant Double Tier Server is in excellent condition with no nicks, chips, or signs of repair. The graphics are crisp, the colors vibrant. Both of the tiers are marked in green with "Continental Kilns, Hand Painted"

The top tier of the server is a fruit or dessert bowl which measures 5-1/2 inches in diameter with a height of 1-1/2 inches. The bottom tier, a luncheon plate, measures 8-5/8 inches in diameter. Assembled, the server measures 10 inches in height (measured to the top of the handle.
