The Crooksville China Company was established in Crooksville, Ohio, in 1902 and made semi-porcelain dinnerware and kitchenware. The company began having financial difficulties in the late 1950s, due to competition from Japanese imports and plastic dinnerware manufacturers, and closed its doors in 1959. Crooksville pottery products were of a top grade of semi-porcelain. They are also known for fine decal decorations which are beginning to attract collector attention.

Vintage From Paul is delighted to offer this Crooksville Pottery Iva-Lure Orchard Leaf Shaped Handled Dish. The Orchard pattern dates to the late 1940's to early 1950's.

The Iva-Lure dinnerware collection was done on a coupe body and had various decals which appeared to be hand painted because of the amount of detail in the designs.

Orchard has lovely renderings of apples, pears and grapes. This particular piece has an Anjou Pear. To make the artistry "pop" the leaves and stems are outlined and accented with thin brown detailing lines.

The Crooksville Pottery Iva-Lure Orchard Leaf Shaped Handled Dish is in superb condition. The graphics are crisp, the colors vibrant. The piece is marked on the underside with "Iva-Lure by Crooksville, U.S.A., D-T"

The Crooksville Pottery Iva-Lure Orchard Leaf Shaped Handled Dish measures 10-3/4 inches in length, 6-1/8 inches in width.
