They are made of stoneware and are dishwasher and microwave safe. The back of the pieces are marked with; "David Carter Brown & Co Majesticware Oneida, American Quilt, 2001, Made in China, Dishwasher Safe,  Microwave Safe, David Carter Brown 2001".

The Mugs stand 2-1/4 inches in height, measure 3-1/4 inches in diameter and have a 7 fluid ounce capacity.
