Georges Briard patterns are known for their stylized geometry. Strong outlines and the frequent use of repeating motifs give his pieces a unique look. Collectors who become familiar with the Georges Briard style find that they are able to quickly spot and identify his work. From birds and fruit to regal symbols and abstract designs, patterns were often created in 22 karat gold leaf.

One of the more prominent Georges Briard patterns, Persian Garden, illustrates some signature elements of the designer's work. Featured in this article's main picture, Persian Garden contains a series of borders, two of which are solid and three of which involve shapes, including a leaf and stem motif. The large center of a Persian Garden piece contains flowers, leaves and stems, may of which are filled with other designs, such as dots, stripes and a diamond grid. The result is a layered piece with a look both bold and intricate

The Georges Briard Persian Garden Divided Tray is in Perfect condition. The graphics are crisp, the colors vibrant.  Being hand cast glass, one of the short sides is not as straight as the other.
