Vintage From Paul is delighted to offer this 1940's- 1950's Hazel Atlas Platonite Turquoise & Yellow Lazy Susan Set.
In 1936, The Hazel Atlas glass company applied for and subsequently received a patent for a process of glass known as Platonite. This process consisted of an opaque glassware that would be treated with various finishes. Platonite is often confused with milkglass, an antique glass process.decoration. Platonite, primararily was produced in the 1940s and 1950s.
The Hazel Atlas Platonite Turquoise & Yellow Lazy Susan Set consists of the turntable base, accented with a gold toned rim. There are four of the elongated trays, two in turquoise, two in yellow. The center round bowl is also in yellow. The undersides of the bowl and tray is a milk glass white.

The turntable rotates smoothly; the gold toned metal rim, arced in the form of two curled scrolls holds the outer bowls securely in place.
The turntable measures 15 inches in diameter, 3 inches in height. The outer bowls measure 9 inches in length, 3-3/4 inches in width (measurements are taken at the longest/widest points) and they stand 1-3/8 inches in height. The center bowl measures 6 inches in diameter and it stands 1-3/4 inches in height.
