Vintage From Paul is pleased to offer these stunning Rimmed Soup Bowls from Homer Laughlin, in the Queen Esther pattern.

The pattern is listed as Number SS28 and dates to the early 1950's

Queen Esther was done in the Liberty shape that has the "Gadroon" edge which consists of an embossing in the form of a delicate braid. These plates are highlighted in gold. The large rose was used on other pieces and the unusual gold pattern on the rim is reminiscent of a crown and makes this pattern, Queen Esther, special.

Queen Esther was the Jewish wife of the Persian King Xerxes, who saved her people from slaughter by Haman, A Persian official who sought the destruction of the Jews. Each plate is in mint condition with no defects noted. It appears that these plates were never used, or if so ever so gently!.

The Homer Laughlin Queen Esther Rimmed Soup Bowls measures 8-3/8 inches in diameter.

Each of the available Queen Esther bowls is in mint condition with no chips, crazing or wear to the gold. The graphics are crisp, the colors vibrant & gilding intact.
