We are pleased to offer this lovely vintage Johnson Brothers Large, 16 inch oval serving platter in pattern JB71.

The pattern dates to the early 1900's, and it carries the green crown, Johnson Brothers backstamp.

The focal point of the pattern is the design at the rim. Lovely paneled floral design done in a palette of light blue, orange, and yellow, accented with green foliage. Alternating with this floral design, there is a simple rectangular cartouche with a deep cobalt flower. The design is enclosed with a deep gold color stripe while the edge of the platter is gilded.

This sensational piece has no chips, cracks, crazing or yellowing. The graphics are crisp, the colors vibrant. The piece appears to have never been used, or if so, ever so gently.

The platter measures a generous 16-1/4 inches in length, 11-7/8 inches in width.
