According to the box, Our ceramic dinnerware is crafted from fine-grained earthenware that contains about 25% kaolin, a refined white clay.  The earthenware is twice fired at 1280 degreen Celcius for exceptional durability and uniform polished surface.  The unfinished earthenware is fired first; the glaze sets during the secong firing.  The process results in the smooth even finish and subtle colors you see in this dinnerware collection".

The Terra Cotta Nosegay dinner plates have a pristine white body decorated at the center and rim with a floral destin done in terra cotta.  The rim is trimmed in  the same color.
