The Kismet pattern also known as Broken Pillar and Reed, was manufactured in the time period 1900 to 1905 by the Model Flint Glass Company with the molds being transferred to the McKee Glass Company.

There are conflicting reports in the literature about the manufacturing order of this pattern. Welkers states that McKee was the first maker with molds transferred to Model Flint Glass under the National combine. However, Ron Teal in Albany Glass states that molds where probably transferred to McKee when it was apparent that Model Flint was failing. The latter is the primary theory among others.
