Vintage From Paul is delighted to offer this pristine Paden City Nerva Wing Handle Diamond Cut Cream & Sugar Set.  This creamer and sugar bowl set dates to the 1920's Depression Glass Era, and has the Art Deco "Wing Style" handles.

The Nerva pattern blank is listed by Paden City as Number 555 and was used for many patterns such as Gazebo, Heather & Primrose, Oriental Garden and numerous cut patterns.

The "wing handles" have beads at the tips which coordinate with the polished feet of the creamer and sugar bowl.

This particular cuting has diamond cut Criss-crosses and punties, and is listed as cutting number 555-2 by Paden City Glass.

George Lasell founded Paden City Pottery in 1914 with a plant in Sisterville, West Virginia and offices in Paden City. Paden City is credited with originating the underglaze decal and the Caliente colored glaze. - - By 1949 Paden City Pottery had six tunnel kilns and personnel totaling 800. Russell Wright did some patterns for them. The plant was closed and the Company ceased to exist in 1963.
