The design is slightly offset on the body creating the illusion of a swirl. The rim is gently scalloped. .

With textural exuberance tempered by quiet color, creamware has created exquisite table settings for centuries. Developed in the mid-1700s by English potters as an alternative to patterned porcelain from China, it became an instant sensation.
