Featured is a simply stunning Set of Four (4) Low Sherbets from Tiffin in the Classic Rose Pink Optic, Floral and Band pattern which is number 14188.

The pink optic panels can be felt on the interior of the pieces. The etching is elegant and wheel cut, with a band encircling the upper portion of the bowl . There is a 5 petaled flower with radiating foliage at two opposite positions.

Three of the Four pieces of this Tiffin Pink Etched Optic Sherbets pattern 14188 is in MINT Condition with no chips, cracks, or other defects noted. The fourth piece has three minor/very small rim chips which are difficult to see. We noticed it by feel rather than sight.

The Tiffin Pink Etched Optic Sherbets pattern 14188 stand 3-3/4 inches in height, measure 3-3/8 inches in diameter at the top, 2-5/8 inches in diameter at the base.

The Tiffin Glass Company

The Tiffin Glass story begins in 1889 when the A.J. Beatty and Sons Glass Company relocated their factory to Tiffin, Ohio. Why Tiffin, Ohio? The gracious city of Tiffin offered five years of free natural gas. In 1892, Beatty joined the the huge glass conglomerate known as the United States Glass Company. From that point forward, the Tiffin Plant was referred to as Factory R. Tiffin Factory R produced mostly pressed glass until 1914 when the tide started to change and blown glassware was becoming more popular.
