We are pleased to offer this Vintage, Three Piece Libbey Glass, set of bowls made in 1951 to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Toledo Museum of Art. The Bowls are in their original Box and wrappings.

The Toledo Museum of Art, Toledo Ohio, was founded by Edward Drummond Libbey in 1901.

The Toledo Museum of Art Libbey 1951 Bowl Set measure 1 inch in depth, 4 inches in diameter descending in size to 2.25 inches in diameter at the base. The pattern is a series of concentric rings.

On the bottom of the Toledo Museum of Art Libbey 1951 Bowl Set is etched : " 50th Anniversary, Toledo Museum of Art 1901 - 1951, Founded by Edward Drummond Libbey" In the center of each bowl is a wonderful rendition of the Toledo Museum of Art as it was in 1951.

The Toledo Museum of Art was founded in 1901 by the founder of Libbey Glass, Edward Drummond Libbey and his wife, Florence. The first museum was located in downtown Toledo, but moved to Toledo's gracious "Old West End" neighborhood in 1909 to land donated by Mrs. Libbey. The new Classical Revival building was designed by Toledo architects Edward Green and Harry W. Wachter.

Each of the three pieces of this Toledo Museum of Art Libbey 1951 Bowl Set are in Absolute Mint Condition, with no chips, cracks, signs of repair or other defects noted.
