Vintage From Paul is  pleased to offer this  stunning example of EAPG from the U.S. Glass Company in the Jewel pattern, dating to 1898. The pattern is listed as Number 15057.

The design of "Jewel" is similar to the Colorado pattern from U.S. Glass. The difference between the two patterns is that the Jewel pattern has a snap rim on the bottom, whereas the Colorado pattern is ground smooth. These patterns were frequently used as souvenirs, with the name of the attraction in engraved script.

This particular US Glass EAPG 1898 Jewel Gold Accented Cup has no engraved script, nor does it show evidence of ever having same.

This pattern is described as a "lacy medallion", with a single bulls eye surrounded by beading and feathering. The gold accented base of the piece has a bead and scroll motif, banded on the top and the bottom with a series of raised beading. The underside has an 18 point starburst. The piece is in Mint condition. The gold detailing is intact showing virtually no wear.

The US Glass EAPG 1898 Jewel Gold Accented Cup is clear and sparkling. There is one straw mark on the interior bottom which easily gets lost in the star medallion.

The US Glass EAPG 1898 Jewel Gold Accented Cup stands 2-3/4 inches in height, measures 2-7/8 inches in diameter at the top, 2-1/4 inches in diameter at the base. A real beauty to add to your collection!
